Changed email account for Magic Jack forwarding.

Post by cyberpine »

I even deleted the old account from MJ I had created the number with. BTW, this MJ is god awful confusing and poor.

20 minutes later still getting voicemails on the old email and not gettin g them on the new email.

I log into MJ on the web and double confirm its set to email to the new email account - it is . Double check my spam - nothing.

Delayed change? What's up?

Thanks.

It is possible there is a lag time between using the old vs the new. it could be as long as 30 days, but hopefully less.

30 days.. would be crazy.

It's Sunday and I was actually able to online chat with two tech support agents today. I'm still having the issue and it's definitely on MJ side, they even acknowledged it. The word is they are working on it but no ETA - I'm not holding my breath.

That said, what I am most impressed with is that I was able to chat with an actual human who was actually able to check the status of my configuration on a Sunday.. Amazing considering that we only pay about $1.50/mo for this service.

I only mentioned 30 days because I THINK if you change your # they keep the old one active for 30 days. And yes it would be nuts if it took that
long....
