ALL CIRCUITS BUSY
I have been getting "ALL CIRCUITS ARE BUSY" for all incoming calls for the last 2 days.
Anyone else?
I have re-booted the computer several times, changed USB ports and still nothing. I am using a powered hub too.
Running on a separate PC with no other applications running except Norton. No problems for the last 9 months until yesterday.

Ive been with MagicJack since March 2010 and now outta the blue all i sometimes get for incoming calls are fast busy signals and im not using a usb powered hub. The idiots at MJ dont want to answer my questions cause they are accusing telco's of blocking numbers for incoming calls but thats not the case as i think magicjack is blocking the calls since it wont and will never be the last time they lie to someone.

When did you get the "lucky you" update and did this problem start happening after you got it?Kenny2469 wrote:I have been getting "ALL CIRCUITS ARE BUSY" for all incoming calls for the last 2 days.

I was "lucky" yesterday evening, but the problem started before the update...bitstopjoe wrote:When did you get the "lucky you" update and did this problem start happening after you got it?Kenny2469 wrote:I have been getting "ALL CIRCUITS ARE BUSY" for all incoming calls for the last 2 days.

I did manage to get through to my MJ # from my other landline on about 8 attempts, but then tried another and had another 5 attempts til it rang through...
I also will add, that there is no problem making outgoing calls....

Well, spent an hour on with tech support, had me download an upgrade, add some entries into my network configuration, disable firewall and anti virus, tried the MJ on a different PC, and still the same results.bitstopjoe wrote:Seems others have the same problem of late, but most seem to have it AFTER they got the update, so not sure what is going on. Have you tried contacting support and asking them to reset your account? Worth a shot..

The rep advised me that they will re-configure me on their end and to try the MJ again in about 1 hours time and if Im still getting the same results to contact them back again.
So we play the waiting game now and see what happens... =)
When I call the MJ from my landline I get the "all circuits are busy" message but when I call from my cell phone I get a fast busy. At any rate, still not a successfull call...
We did some test calls, on average, 1 in 8 attempts to the MJ line is successfull, all others dont make it through. But every single outgoing call works just fine... (Boooo!!!!)

What's the area code and exchange? I can't understand why they'd do it to one of their own numbers, but it seems almost like the problem everyone is having with calling small phone companies. If I forward my magicjack to one of the numbers I can't call directly that's what I get; "all circuits are busy, please try your call again later."
I talked to one of the those phone companies and was told that it had to be magicjack blocking their exchanges because they had no blocks on the number I was trying to call.

Well looks like im not the only one with this problem and i have a feeling magicjack is playing mind games with all of us. It seems like it wont let people call me on my mj line and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt.
Also the time right now is 11pm est and guess what everyone i called my mj line 30 times and every single time the phone rang. You guessed it that magicjack is blocking incoming calls on a certain time cause just yesterday i made calls after 11pm and after 3am and 4am and in between those times my magicjack was letting incoming calls in.
Of course the dumb asses tech support are no help. Cause you tell them to stop blocking incoming calls and you link them to proof other people are having issues and how other people are stating they (magicjack) are blocking incoming calls. Of course magicjack denies it all and its funny when you ask them straight out if there is any news of telco's blocking incoming calls to magicjack they say they havent heard of anything.
Looks like magicjack is acting like some young kid who broke something and the mother runs into and asks the kid who broke it and the kid goes I dont know nothing about this.
I sure hope magicjack stops blocking calls cause there is a new voip service that is like magicjack except it uses a voip router and im thinking in the next few months of leaving magicjack and going there.

I talked to the phone companies to and one electronic/computer tech store and they all said its magicjack blocking the numbers.
One phone company i called said maybe magicjack cant pay the bills and they need to block the number to save money then they release it and then it rings all the time.

Im a 604-800-____ .... Yes it's definately weird... Throughout the evening I was calling my number with same results.. It's now 12:45am here in Vancouver, and out of 20 test calls I made to my MJ number, guess how many went through... If you guessed every single one of them, then you are correct... Im willing to bet that come daytime, I will have the same problem. I will post and update you though.Megamixer56 wrote:What's the area code and exchange? I do agree it's MJ's issue, messing around or some crap like that, because how do you go for working practically flawlessly for the last 8 months to this... ?
I do have a secondary MJ unit not hooked up, its just on call forward to my cell phone and absolutely no effect on that one, the calls went right through to my cell each and every time...

Speaking with a new voip service rep he told me what the problem is and said magicjack is singing up to many people and the servers that handle the service are having issues and they dont want to admit it but thats magicjack for you.
I may leave magicjack soon cause its a hassle when people try to call me and sometimes it goes through and sometimes it doesnt.

Sounds like you have severely constrained download bandwidth. Have you tried this...Kenny2469 wrote:I was "lucky" yesterday evening, but the problem started before the update...bitstopjoe wrote:When did you get the "lucky you" update and did this problem start happening after you got it?Kenny2469 wrote:I have been getting "ALL CIRCUITS ARE BUSY" for all incoming calls for the last 2 days.

I think you have set the record for the largest number of non-authoritative, asinine quotes in a single thread.freestylegreek wrote:Speaking with a new voip service rep he told me what the problem is and said magicjack is singing up to many people and the servers that handle the service are having issues and they dont want to admit it but thats magicjack for you.

I paraphrase from the great book "I learned everything I ever needed to know by 6 yrs of age"
Next time you have a MJ problem...Leave them alone and they'll come home, wagging their tails behind them.
BTW, how dare you be so pennywise as to be entirely dependent on a communication service that costs $20/yr with no viable backup. You certainly share responsibility for these foibles with MJ. Almost as if you are tempting the fates of telecom...
Good Luck

You'll love the Greeks at Nettalk...you're just trading one set of problems for another. At least Dan didn't run his last 3 companies into the ground and Dan can freely travel throughout S. America without his creditor's hitmen on his trail, unlike Mr. TK down in Miami.....freestylegreek wrote:there is a new voip service that is like magicjack except it uses a voip router and im thinking in the next few months of leaving magicjack and going there.

I have a 2nd line that i use and i dont depend on mj but i do not want to have issues and seeing im having issues im going to go to a new voip that actually cares about their customers unlike mj does since they dont want to admit they're the ones having issues and pointing figers are phone companies.

Already heard of issues with nettalk and dont think i'll go ahead and get that. I'll stick with this new one that is in Canada and only for Canadians.

Well all day yesterday and so far upto this afternoon it has been working flawlessly...
Im pretty sure you are correct at the statement that there are too many MJ customers than their servers can handle...
Hopefully they will get this resolved, although im not too concerned as it is not my primary phone line...
I've never had an issue with the other MJ number (a Montreal area code) that I have on permanent call forward to my cell phone. Must be a better server providing the service in that area????

I am so sad that I trusted that company. I even connected my intercom through it. Now all my friends call me to tell me that the intercom doesn't work (duh, its the stupid MJ that works 1/4 of the time to receive calls).
So I have to keep my landline, because MJ is unreliable and has poor service support. As they say, pay cheap, receive cheap.
