Magicjack with a pap2
Hey I'm a newbie here, but Ive been researching this issue for months and unfortunately no answer. Ive been trying to configure it several times, but now I'm at a standstill. Is any ata device (I have an unlocked pap2) able to use maicjack sip settings. All I have been doing is putting in the sip settings, but the registration always fail. Maybe I need to do more. I used MagicSipac 1.2 to pick up my information. I have a versalink 327 the pap2 is being plugged into. I also do have wrt54g with ddwrt in my arsenal.
You need to run MJMD5 to get your ata to register. Look in the sticky threads and http://magicjackhacks.net/ has a great tutorial for xlite but it's pretty much the same for an ata.

Pretty much step-by-step .... although, I don't know how the new magicJack upgrade has the affected PAP2.sleepybrown wrote:Hey I'm a newbie here, but Ive been researching this issue for months and unfortunately no answer. Thank you all. Unfortunately I had a power outage and lost my sip info prior to when the update was around so I had to plug it back in. The password did change to a longer one, and Ihad to try a dump twice to catch it. I used those credentials and passed it through mjmd5 and it worked.
My only two questions are does my computer have to stay on with mjmd5 since I do like to turn off my pc every once in a while, and did anyone have luck running mjmdj on their ddwrt router?

Yes your compuer need to stay on if you run mjmd5 on it and use a pap2. DD-WRT works great for running mjmd5 http://www.phoneservicesupport.com/ddwr ... t6913.html Please take the time to read the entire thread on the dd-wrt version of mjmd5 as there is a wealth of information in there.
Good Luck
