NEWSFLASH: MagicRingForever Release 2.0 (Now Available)

Post by redpepper »

MAGICRINGFOREVER RELEASE 2.0 NEWSFLASH !!!

We have now started development of an upgrade replacement for the existing version of the free MagicRingForever tool (reference http://tools.pcphonesoft.com) based on forum user demand.

Unlike our "paid for" plugins that were developed from scratch, it made use of hidden features in the magicJack dialer to create a call forwarding loop back to your own phone. The latter was removed in magicJack's new dialer offering directly disabling the free MagicRingForever tool.

The new upgrade replacement (MagicRingForever Release 2.0) is being developed from scratch against the following simple specification. It will continuously ring the phone until the phone connected to the magicJack USB dongle is physically taken offhook by a person or by an external answering machine.

MagicRingForever Release 2.0 is on a fast track development schedule and will be available in the next 2-3 weeks. It will be added to the range of retail plugins.

For clarification, proof of design concept for MagicRingForever Release 2 in the lab has now been completed. It is going to work and meet the simple specification and design criteria previously described for it in this thread.

It should be a great asset specifically to people that need longer to get to their phone to answer it and don't need magicJack's voicemail system to pickup and those that have external answering machines.

GOOGLE VOICE NOTE: If you are a Google Voice user and need a solution to allow incoming calls forwarded from your Google Voice number to your magicJack phone number to timeout and roll back over to Google Voice's voice mail system, MagicRingForever Release 2 will definitely not cover that case. You will need to use this solution instead http://www.phoneservicesupport.com/goog ... t9719.html

You will need to address that special need directly with Google Voice's development team to come up with a solution for you

We all know what this means, right? ages of waiting, :))
For clarification, will the "rollover" feature be a paid one?

Bummer... This makes it worthless for me. :( I'm not sure I understand why GV voicemail system wouldn't be able to pick it up? I assume MJ voicemail won't pickup with the plugin, correct?

Probably because the method needed to trick MJ will also trick GV into thinking the call was answered.
Enjoys a daily VOIP cocktail made from:

-One shot Magic Jack
-One shot TK6000
-One shot NetTalk Duo
-Two shots Ooma (it's bigger)

Shaken, not stirred.

Google Voice is the chaser.

GOOGLE VOICE: SOLUTION TO ELIMINATE MJ VOICE MAIL PICKUP

If you are a Google Voice user the new MagicRingForever replacement update will not cover you. There is however a working solution available now that you can use.

MagicRingForever Release 2 is now available for download. It is a brand new product that carries the same name as its predecessor and was developed from scratch and is compatible with magicJack's new dialer (Rel. 2.x.x).

The "MagicRingForever" Plugin allows you to disable voice mail pickup that occurs after 24 seconds and provides continuous ringing. This is ideal for users that simply need longer to get to the phone to answer it.

This great... However, I need my voice mail...

Is there any way to delay the rings before my voice mail pickup? I don't wanted to disable it... I just wanted the VM to pickup after 6 rings...

The magicJack service offering does not currently provide that flexibility; however, it is possible to use the MagicRingForever plugin with an external answering machine and set it to pick up after 6 rings.

If you need more flexibility to control your own destiny and want to switch providers, you can use the Xlitejack Plugin with your magicJack USB dongle and use it with just about any provider available. There is also the Skyjack Plugin if you want to use Skype instead. An active magicJack subscription is not required.
