Cain Abel with MagicJack

Post by innertwob »

I have looked around for a solution to this problem with no luck. I have used MagicJack for a year now with CainAbel call recording and have been very happy, but a new problem has arisen within the last week that I can't figure out. Previously, if I made a call, the sniffer window would show the activity and the VoiP folder would list the call and I could access the recording. It still does. If I received a call and picked up the receiver the same thing would happen. If I did not pick up the receiver the call would just go to voice mail. Now, however, in addition that activity, exactly every 20 minutes, to the second, the sniffer window and the VoiP folder are showing additional activity as if I had tried unsuccessfullly to make a call. The sniffer window then tells me that the activity failed because of a codec that is not supported and the VoiP folder shows a file of 1kb that is essentially empty. I never tried to make, or receive, the unsupported call and it becomes difficult to find the recordings that are legit from the unwanted activity. Any help?

Why don't you just use wire shark and only capture SIP / voip traffic with their filters then you can play the calls.
