Ever since the MJ update that stopped HD installs from working, each time I plug it in, I always receive the message that the USB dongle must be plugged in. (It is, of course.) I have to double click the MJ shortcut that was left on the desktop from a previous usage and then it will start as it should, most times. Occasionally I have to go to the setup file on the dongle to kick start it when the desktop icon is not available (was deleted). Once started it works fine. I should mention that plugging in the dongle always kicks up Windows Explorer displaying the dongles files too. Likely related but don't know how to fix this!!
I have uninstalled MJ several times then reinstalled without any change in the behavior.
This same dongle works fine on my desktop (XP), booting as is expected (and doesn't kick in Widows Explorer).
Any experts out there to help with this problem???? TIA
