What happened to the 2hr time limit ???

Post by gashliquor »

Am i behind the times?. During the years MJ messed with the calling times you can have on a single call. Well i was doing testing today from Florida to NY and there is'nt no 2hr limit unless it has been lifted as i have had a converssation for 3 hr and 11 mins and we both gave up as we talked about the last many years when we were younger. So maybe MJ is now unlimited as long as you don't use so many hr's in a week or month?. I really thought the 2hr time limit was in effect unless MagicFeatures has something to do with it not cutting us off as we were both running MagicFeatures. :?:

I noticed that to last week when I spoke to my sister for 3hrs 44 mins. I was wondering how that happened, and thought maybe it was because my phone battery was going dead and I had to keep switching phones. I use the MJ with magicfeatures, she was on a regular landline though. now it was an incoming call from her, so I didn't know if that had something to do with it either???

I was MJ to MJ for over 3 hrs, Strange. My friend switched his phone because battery was going dead but my phone lasted 2 hr and 30 mins then i picked up another fully charged phone on the same line  I also notice MJ tinkering with things like i notice the music on hold comes and goes. The music on hold maybe on or off like they turn it on that feature whenever they feel like it. I do know the incoming 3 way has been gone for sometime now. Who knows whats in MJ's mind. Even though the comapny has made HUGE BUCKS i don't think there stupid to the other services to be had aka NT Duo, Ooma etc. I'd laugh if MJ pulled
a suprise with some wild device that would make us all say OH SHIT. Dan is a business man and thats a fact

Was it an incoming call? If it is an incoming call, There is no two HR limit. If it is an outgoing call, it is an 2 HR Limit.

well mine was an incoming call and my sister was on a landline, I was on the MJ. but I have been on incoming calls before and my time limit was only 1hr 30mins. tops, so this was indeed very strange to me to be on that long and not get cut off!

MJ's business practice is like the weather in Texas. If you don't like it (or you do like it), give it a few minutes. It'll change.

@nugrl, I wanted to say b4 i forgot the Hawkins HBB1 will ONLY improve QOS, Lag etc only on the hard wired computer. So lets say your computer #1 and hard wired and computer #2 and #3 are wireless the hawkins HBB1 will do NOTHING for those computers but will for the #1 computer thats hard wired. Besides i did alot of testing with wifi and im not saying the MJ can not work with wifi but it can. But nothing beats hard wired hands down. Now the usual computers wifi in power is around 30-50mw at around 2.5GHZ which is microwave and very much line of site. I tested for a month using anywhere from 1000mw which is equal to 1 watt and all the way up to 10 watts with a external amp and a external outside antenna and even that does not come close to hard wired as wifi is also limited in speed and wifi is actually better at 802.11g then n because the g signal travels further. So being at the time i was actually getting into unsecured networks from like almost 1/2 mile away there was no way i could reproduce the speeds even close to being hard wired. Only thing that test proved was i could have free internet from about 40 people in the area that don't know how to password protect there router but i could only surf the net ok to say and download pretty well most of the time. Yes 802.11n is faster but does'nt travel as far as 802.11g

Thats a true statment, MJ will do what ever it wants to do when they want to. Like shut the server down on you for hours in the prime time calling hours of the day to work on it

well both computers that are running the mj's are hard wired. so not to worry there. so I should be able to almost replicate your success at this then? right? I mean you read what type of modem and router I have, so does that sound like it will work well with the hbb1? as a matter a fact 3 of my desktops are hard wired I have one desktop with a usb wireless card in it and 2 laptops. the 3 desktops that are wired are all quad cores and fairly quick machines! so I hope I can achieve your results and I will be happy as can be, and so will my kids!!!

I just thought I quote all this crap as I can't figure out what it has to do with "What happened to the 2hr time limit ???"

But is sure makes the page longer ...
