Can anyone confirm this??
I just read on another forum MJ support ( ha) told a user outgoing calls are now limited to 90 min??? I know I made a call longer than that a bit ago but she said her calls dropped after 90 min.. Anyone confirm this personally, recently??
Just curious if they are starting this again. Some of you remember around Christmas time in 2008 they lowered it to 30 min, then early 2009 up to 60 min and then finally up to 2 hrs where it has been for over a yr now..

More like a wise ass, but then better than a dumb onenailgunner wrote:NO. I cannot confirm.
Just being a smart-alec. I know it's always helpful.
Actually, as of about 2 weeks ago when I had my last long call, they were always shutting me down at 90 minutes. It was always a call I initiated, so I never knew what they were doing on incoming.
So the ONE thing MJ had over NT was they were 2 hrs outbound calls and NT was 90. So what do they do? Cut it back to 90.. WOW talk about dumb asses!!

I'm firmly convinced that they go to the local zoo, borrow a monkey and bring him back to corporate headquarters for a few hours. They take him into a conference room, give him a few bananas, a few darts, and let him choose that months operating policies.bitstopjoe wrote:

Nothing else makes any sense in what they are doing and how they are going about it.

MJ to MJ is unlimited as is all INCOMING calls to your MJ ( MJ or not). Only outgoing calls from your MJ to a non MJ number is timed...gashliquor wrote:bitstopjoe wrote:I just read on another forum MJ support ( ha) told a user outgoing calls are now limited to 90 min??? A truer test is the length of outgoing calls that terminate outside YMAX facilities.

Timed as in time limit of your call, not logged. I have zero doubt all our calls are logged for their pleasure

I knew what you meant silly. I was trying to act innocent of any knowledge of a "supposed conflict" with the prior named individual. Who, though I deny any knowledge of even having heard of this amigo person, I will state that he's more stubborn than my ex could even pretend to be.bitstopjoe wrote: SAID as in the past.

I've gone through their website and did not find that 3 hour statement. Either I'm blind or they've buried it. Can you supply a link to that page?
This is the only thing I found that mentions any kind of call-time limitation, in their TOS under Prohibited Use of Service:
"If you subscribe to a calling plan which included unlimited calling of any type, unless otherwise specified by your specific plan in marketing materials associated therewith, any usage in excess of 5,000 aggregate minutes per month, taking into account all types of calling in your plan which are provided on an unlimited basis, shall be presumed to be not consistent with these restrictions and shall be subject to the conditions above."

Thats less than 3 hours a day. Plenty for me, but I need to let a few women I know that neither service is going to work for them.tsmith wrote:any usage in excess of 5,000 aggregate minutes per month,"
But at least they quantify that part of their limits instead of the way too vague "twenty (20) times more than the average magicJack's customer's usage" crap.

Then I was given erroneous info by someone. Either that or when NT first came out that time limit did exist. Boy NT is starting to look better and better and MJ worse and worse.. Thankfully my MJ is still working just fine after 2 + years.pbjandfritos wrote:Lets get back to the topic... My MJ Outgoing call limit has been 90 minutes since July. And Joe, you are wrong about the outgoing call limit for NetTalk. According to their website, it says that their call limit is three hours.

Not as long as my MJ works as well as it has for over 2 years now and the numbers I call are not blocked...Nugrl wrote:ah oh, are you thinking about abandoning ship too?bitstopjoe wrote:Then I was given erroneous info by someone.
