I couldn't begin to hazard a guess. For what it's worth under portable devices mine shows F, G, H, I, and J drives followed by the PHONE. I have done nothing to that section with any prior adjustments, about the only device manager section untouched so far in my MJ adventure.Nugrl wrote:
how's come it does on yours and not on mine?

just kidding, don't try and fix what isn't broke. mine was broke, so I had to figure out how to fix it. I only have H under my portable devices on Win7, no PHONES there....???? so where the hell is it?
sorry to hear that. I can not be 100% certain that it was not or is not server related, but it just so happened that I found those problems in my device manager on 2 computers I have here that are running MJ's and the device manager fix worked for both of my MJ's.gplung wrote:No Luck with my MJ, still no audio on incoming. I did the Ports adj and also checked the device manager and volumes. No problems noted back to the drawing board.
Oh...and also the firewall exception.

As I said, "I dont believe I did anything since I last checked it."Nugrl wrote:how did you get it working again? and how did you get another mj from mj support for $10.48?gplung wrote:Back in business...all is well again. well how did you manage to get MJ support to send you a new one? did you buy your last one directly from them?gplung wrote:As I said, "I dont believe I did anything since I last checked it."Nugrl wrote:how did you get it working again? and how did you get another mj from mj support for $10.48?gplung wrote:Back in business...all is well again. My MJ dongle was completly dead today, thus, defective. I hope it keeps running until my new one arrives. ok, that explains it then, why mj support was sending you another one for $10.48. well I wish you the best of luck with the new one and I hope it is the 4th gen, that we all would like to get our hands on.gplung wrote:My MJ dongle was completly dead today, thus, defective. WoW...On Friday, MJ told me they would send me a relacement dongle, and I had it in my hands on Monday. Unbelievable...now that was quick service (great job MJ). It gets better, I now have a "Gen 4" (orange sticker). So far, no more missing digits when dialing, and I can hear incoming audio (although it started working again with my old MJ). in addition, I now have a green E911 icon. I had to contact MJ support because after I installed the new MJ (per the instructions) all incoming calls received a "non working MJ number" message. Support did a quick reset on their end, and all is well. I do not know if the green e911 icon appeared before or after their reset.
I would really like to get a 4th Gen MJ but none of the stores in my area have them. I would be curious to see if there really is a difference in call quality with the 4th Gen. So I guess you can consider yourself one of the "Lucky Ones" !gplung wrote:WoW...On Friday, MJ told me they would send me a relacement dongle, and I had it in my hands on Monday.
