So i talked to them on the phone for 1hr and at 35 mins into the conversation i said well you know right now your listening to a MagicJack and there reply was we can usually tell when ppl are calling in with a MJ. How did u get yours too sound like that! So forget about getting this NEW DUO for 50% off it is'nt going to happen. I have way to many VOIP numbers and whats a few more? Anyway, after the last Magicjack rotating password event, I decided to try out whistlephone and it is working great with my ATA. It's free, you get a real number (you choose the area code) and is as simple as entering your credentials into your ATA and your done. About every 3rd or 4th outgoing call I have to listen to a 15 second add before my call is placed. I can live with that. Incoming calls ring through just fine. So if your looking for a free line to use with your ATA give it a try.

BTW - One of my magicjack lines (even though the password changed) is not rotating passwords and it is still working. Just one password change and that was it! My other line as of last night is still rotating the Passwords, so I have a feeling it will eventually stop and all will be back to normal.

Update:

I have 2 browsers on my computer, IE8 and Chrome, and use Chrome almost exclusively, and that is the browser that downloaded the file on me. Since any damage would have already been done, I tested it on IE8 and it didn't save the file. I am checking the security settings on Chrome, but so far haven't found anything that would make a difference. Not sure what Firefox will do.

Regardless, I wouldn't click on any future links posted by that nut. Forewarned is forearmed.
