Magic Jack keeps disconnecting me?
I now have a new problem.Started a few days ago.Everytime I call someone I get cut off after the first 2 or 3 minutes. When I redial I get cut off the same again.Sometimes the other party can still hear me but I can't hear them?

Could be your routers firmware needs to be updated to the latest ( or with Tomato) or if you are using a 2.4 mhz cordless phone it is interfering with your wireless router. You may need to change the address on your router or phone or don't use a 2.4 mhz phone..blodgee wrote:I now have a new problem.Started a few days ago.Everytime I call someone I get cut off after the first 2 or 3 minutes. When I redial I get cut off the same again.Sometimes the other party can still hear me but I can't hear them?

My Router? I have a modem that the computer is plugeed into. MJ is plugged to that computer .I do have a wireless router for my 2nd laptop computer so am I ok?I have no idea about Tomato?
I just read about the 4th generation of MJ is out.Since I have had nothing but trouble I am going to email them for a replacement new generation.bsuds wrote:Mine has been doing the same thing since the last "lucky you" update. F#ck it they owe it to me!
I'm having the exact same problem. And the other person can hear me too.bsuds wrote:Mine has been doing the same thing since the last "lucky you" update. What I am wondering is if some setting has been changed. I noticed some setting regarding either using the phone or a headset was set to headset. I was hoping that was the problem but when I called my brother the same thing happened again. I assume it is just a setting since I vaguely remember this happening before.
I was talking to my brother and he happened to be speaking. At the 5 minute mark exactly of the phone call, I stopped being able to hear him.
Now is this server problems or is this a problem with the updated software?
He was still able to hear me and when i called back, I could talk to him.
There seems to be some test code or something that someone forgot to take out. Hello? Developers? Sound familiar?

I have been having the same issue, except mine dropped most often within 45 seconds. It would say that it put them on hold and then it would drop. I had the problem well over 2 months and I finally got MJ to replace it but it still cost me $10. Now the new magicjack is giving me an error before I can even get it registered over to replace the old one.
