I dont hear any tone or voice after i dial "PLEASE HELP

i have purchased magicjack 3weeks ago and it was working great and now i dont know why but everytime i try to call someone in usa or canada the first thing is that i hear the normal tone u get to hear when u open the phone and then after i dial i dont hear anything and it actually dials the number... i ve tried with the magic jack customer service but they r terrible and we kept installing and uninstalling and doing lot of stuff...

i hear the first tone that u dial the number after u hear it and then i dont hear anything.. pleasw what can i do ?

oh yea and the version i have now is 2.0.4 and im using vista .. and the crazy thing is that it was working perfectly.. now i dont know what happened...

If you are using the short extension cord which came with the MJ, don't as it can cause weird things to happen even though things were working fine. Also be sure to use a REAR usb port as it does make a difference.
Check in device manager, the USB section. Make sure ALL of the USB ROOT HUB power settings are not enabled. There are more than one USB ROOT HUB entries so be sure to check then all.
If all of that fails you MIGHT need a POWERED usb hub...

well everything was working fine and actually 2days ago it was working but its not working now anymore... i even took the magicjack to another laptop to try on windows 7 and its still not working..... what can i do ? please help

Did you try ANYTHING I suggested?? If you did and it is still not working on another PC it is possible your MJ dongle went bad. I would go to their online chat and ask for a replacement.

I'm having the same issue, but I have a Mac - does anybody know what to do?

I spoke with 2 techs today and they had me erase my Mac software and try again several times. I've tried using the Windows 7 OS I have on here through Bootcamp, and it works fine on there, so this problem seems to lie solely within OSX.

Any suggestions?

No I am saying since you tried your MJ dongle on another PC and it still didn't work it is pointing to your MJ dongle MIGHT be defective.
I would go to online chat explain what you have done and see if they will send you a replacement.
Since the last few updates I do not believe you can run your MJ any longer without the dongle, it has to plugged into a PCs USB port for it to work.
The other PC you tried it on was did it use the same router and ISP connection?? IF so try to use another pc not using your router and ISP, in other words try it at a friends house.
