Hi all,
I am new to this MJ thing and Thin Client, and I have a problem setting up my HP 5720.
The TC is an HP t5720 XPe NX1500. It has 1 GB of RAM and 1 GB of flash. And it came with Symantec Endpoint Client installed.
I cannot get MJ to automatically install and run after a reboot or restart. It seems like Symantec is blocking it somehow. I turned off Symantec, plugged in the dongle, then MJ would start and run OK but when I restart the TC, it would not auto run for me even when I had the EWF disable.
Could someone please tell me what I need to do to. I also wanted to install Teamview Quick Support, but somehow I cannot get it to install at all.
TIA,
DT

My guess is some where in Symantec Endpoint you need to tell it that MJ is a trusted application. You may also have to open a port if Endpoint does port control. I know Endpoint is more than just anti-virus but I am not familiar with it. I tend to stay away from Symantec software these days.
Personally, if MJ is the only thing running on your thin client, I would delete Symantec (bloatware) and install and run with MS's firewall for the HP thin client -

Oh - and after MJ is up and running. Commit the changes through the EWF or else MJ will install and update every time you reboot.
I can't help you with Team Viewer. I have never used it. My thin client is run on a KVM (Keyboard/Video/Mouse adapter).

Teamviewer.....
Just go to teamviewer.com and install the full free installation. Go from there and make sure you check for "personal" use and set it up to autostart everytime the computer reboots. That way you never need to hook up a monitor to see whats going on. Just teamviewer in from any other computer that has teamviewer installed on it. Works perfectly. Good to go.
