help! no dialtone, phone doesn't ring, provider can't get in

I've noticed this problem off and on recently. however, now it's gotten to the point that I can't use the mj.

This is what happens:
It opens up fine, I go into tm and set the process to high. Fine. Pick up the phone, and no dialtone.
I've pulled the mj, killed the process and restarted it, put the mj back in, tried on a diff USB port, rebooted the laptop twice.... nada.

Any help is appreciated!

Have you checked the volume levels in MJ softphone?
Softphone Menu, then Volume/Headset ctrls, check the volume sliders for the phone.

Make sure all you audio devices are working, goto ctrl panel, then sound icon.

Goto device Mgr. look at all the USB ROOT HUB and make sure they are not check to save power.

If this doen't fix do a serch in these forms on the problem your having.

Also be sure you are NOT using the short extension cord which came with the MJ and use a REAR usb port on your PC. Yes, both make a difference..
