Magic Silence doesn't work with the upgrade for me.
How about the rest of you?
Magic Silence w/ upgrade

Re: Magic Silence w/ upgrade
Several other threads on this, but ... this specifically addresses magicFeatures, however, it applies to the pcphonesoft software products in general.
If you have picked up the latest magicJack "Lucky You" upgrade today you will find that magicJack has done a major redesign of the magicJack dialer and a major redesign of their website interface for your account and product management.
Unlike previous updates received from magicJack, this is a major new release of the magicJack dialer (i.e. 1.x to 2.x) and the changes this time are significant. Just like you, we do not receive advance warning of such changes.
You will also find that after receiving the "Lucky You" upgrade that the plugin icon stays black in color. This is because the plugin detected incompatible changes in the new release of the magicJack dialer so this result is actually correct.
MagicFeatures - New Release Underway
Changes to the plugin to provide compatibility with the very major new release of the magicJack dialer are going to be required. We should have an update of the plugin available for download in the next few days; however, it may take a bit longer depending on the exact number of changes necessary. Your patience will be required in this instance and is very much appreciated.

I decided to try magicsilence free version in Jan/11. It still doesn't work at all.lychy wrote:Magic Silence doesn't work with the upgrade for me.

magicblock freeware works just fine.

What an old thread....
That's right. You need MagicSilence Release 2 to work with the new magicJack dialer Release 2 as detailed in numerous places in this forum since September last year.
Unless the product you mentioned was recently updated to be fully compatible with the brand new magicJack dialer, over time you may uncover that it does indeed have some subtle issues and side effects as others have also described in this forum. I was also able to reproduce some of them after very thorough testing was done when running it myself at time the new magicJack dialer was released.
If you thoroughly tested the product you mentioned and it does meet your needs that is great and I honestly hope you sent the author a reasonable donation using the donate button he provided. For clarification, it is however not fully compatible with most of our other plugins like Magicfeatures and is not quite as feature rich as MagicSilence Release 2 that now includes a nice call alert feature that does not steal focus.
