Just bought MJ yesterday. This thing is real cool. We tested it out by calling a few people and asking them to call us back. No problems, maybe a .5sec delay - no biggie.
Here's our problem tho... NONE of the computers in our house can keep an internet connection for more than 2 minutes (just a guesstimate) ever since we installed MJ. We tried it on multiple computers and are getting the same annoying results. We can get it back and running from disconnecting and reconnecting our wireless adapters, but every couple of minutes?
Anyone have similar experiences that have been able to solve this? Thanks
My internet connection problems with MJ plugged in

bionicandy...check part of my previous post...
I hooked up to another ISP which puts out more power and it works fine...like it is supposed to. The phone rings and the soft phone screen pops up when someone calls.
I finally got to talk to the old ISP (Tengo Internet) and the advanced technical technician told me that they do not support Magic Jack. Before I paid their subscription and signup, I asked them if my Magic jack would work properly and they assured me it would...Yeah right !! He must have been on commission.
IN SHORT....If you are using a Magic Jack on Wifi...make sure that the server supports it and that their signal strength is powerful enough to make it work properly.

Sounds like your phones and wifi are on the same frequency. Try a corded phone plugged into MJ or plug your computer into your router/modem. Joe's got a better handle on this than I do. I'm sure he will stop by shortly.
You should also try to avoid wifi and MagicJack. If nothing else than to lower the latency (lag).

Yes if he is using a 2.4mhz cordless and it is on the same channel of his router it might be causing his problem.. He can either get a 5.8ghz or a DECT 6 cordless OR he can go into his router's settings and change the channel of his router ( especially if it is on AUTO) to see if that takes care of his problem as that is the least expensive way ( especially if it works)
I have used my MJ on wireless and it can be hit or miss, especially in a hotel or say a camp-ground where many people can be using it at the same time and sucking up the bandwith.
