MagicJack down today, 2/24/11 @ 2:30pm EST?
I was on a call at 2:30pm EST when the phone stopped working. looking at the MJ software it said it was not connected. I restarted it and received an error 3 which means not connected to the internet. My internet connection is working fine as I'm able to post this. In trying to goto magicjack.com and anything associated with it I get the cannot display the page message. So I'm wondering if this is a larger outage? Anyone else having problems today?

Same problem here as well. The main website "magicjack.com" won't come up at all either.mhoffman5 wrote:I was on a call at 2:30pm EST when the phone stopped working. looking at the MJ software it said it was not connected. No go in Houston
Just got back to my desk at 2:30 Central and no MJ. I at least have had calls forwarded to my cell but no idea what the issue is.

Can you guys with the problem ping magicjack.com
That's my results of a ping. Try pointing your browser to 67.192.83.142 and see if you can get to the mJ page. If so then I would agree it is a DNS problem.

Same phone Issues here!
This is annoying, same thing happened on my end, phone dead, site dead... it's nice that they have an email or something go out about issues like this that last longer than an hour... oh wait they don't... pissed!
Comcast user but all internet is good... anyone else....
I just got a voicemail from someone trying to reach me... this is odd, I would think that they wouldn't be able to get my voice mail if the server is messed... Anyone else get voice mail's?

Re: Same phone Issues here!
It is looking like a Comcast issue, rather than a mJ issue this time around. I can get to the sites just fine on CableOne. Try pointing your web browser to 67.192.83.142 and I bet you get to the mJ site.JoshC wrote:This is annoying, same thing happened on my end, phone dead, site dead... it's nice that they have an email or something go out about issues like this that last longer than an hour... oh wait they don't... pissed!

If it is any consolation, NetTalk is down today.

PS. Has anyone tried changing their DNS server to 8.8.8.8 or 4.2.2.1 and see if they can get through to MJ?

I was going to suggest trying that as well, as soon as someone with the problem verified that they can get to the mJ website with the IP address rather than the domain name.laserjobs wrote:If it is any consolation, NetTalk is down today.

Google free DNS servers are: 8.8.8.8 & 8.8.4.4

Re: Same phone Issues here!
Well there goes the idea of it just being a DNS problem. Maybe Comcast is blocking that IP for some reason.tallpaw wrote:Dave: Just tried with that IP address and it says Firefox cannot find server at Magicjack.com.
