If you don't want your pc up all the time look into getting a thin client to use your MJ with. The only other option is to forward your calls to another number before you turn your pc off.blueskull wrote:I am stupid its a usb hub they dont have os on them. second I am just looking for a easy way to setup my majic jack so PC dont have be up all time.
Check ebay http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_trksid ... Categories plenty of thin clients available. I would recommend getting only the 512/512 units and higher. Anything else and you will have to get creative in order to get MJ to work problem free. Also check craigslist in your area there's always someone selling an old PC for a decent price.

Nahhhhhhhhhhhhhh not stupid..... You just didn't realize MJ needs an OS to run.. TRUST ME you are not the only one to have asked if they can use the USB port on the back of their router without the PC on. That's what this forum is for, to inform...blueskull wrote:I am stupid its a usb hub they dont have OS on them. second I am just looking for a easy way to setup my majic jack so PC dont have be up all time.

OMG, that was so freaking funny to read.. i cant believe what people believe I was aware it needed net and computer.. I just know that some things like routers have there on OS.. so I was looking for a cheap soutltion.. but i think my best luck is goodwill/savaltion army or something for a Older Model pc or server.. I am poor hints why got Magic jack instead of home phone or cell lol
