How do I contact MJ Tech Support and Billing?

Post by Nisko1 »

I have one of the original MJs - which never worked correctly. I want to know if I'm still being billed yearly for it (unfortunately, this just occurred to me - out of sight, out of mind). I just bought a new MJ and it's working much better - just a few kinks I need to work out. So, how do I contact Tech Support and Billing? Sorry this isn't a technical question but I didn't know where else to post it.

Online chat support.. Or log into your my.magicjack.com web page and look around to see if your account is still active. It might be as a few years ago MJ changed everyone to have their accounts auto renewed. It can be disabled though...

Thank you. Now, how do I disable that old account? I tried my old password and it worked - so I'm assuming that they've been charging me and I didn't know it. Trying to talk to them and get support is useless.

I dont see how you can disable it without talking to them via chat. You can try sending an email to [email protected] and see what happens. At the very least be sure to disable the auto-renew setting. my.magicjack.com, log in, then click on the my account tab, then click on renewal and then details and check the disable auto renewal box.

You could, at least about a month or so ago, deactivate an old account by clicking on the MagicJack lost or stolen section. It would let you deactivate your account at some point in the process. The apparently never delete it from your subscription area however, mine still shows up with the option to reactivate. And Joe is right, the most important thing to do is click off the auto-renew.

I never clicked on lost or stolen so that makes sense one can deactivate their MJ that way. Cool........ See you are not as dumb as you look :) hehe

Wanna bet? Lets not forget, I am a MagicJack user.

It was actually customer service that told me to do that. It was after I had my new device registered for awhile. I'm hoping that it and my MagicTalk (also deactivated) subscriptions will eventually disappear altogether from my page but I'm not holding my breath.
