911 question

This morning I was trying to find something on the MJ onscreen display. My cursor passed over the 911 button. A bubble popped up saying, if I am not mistaken, that a message had been issued with my location, etc.

I would have assumed that I would have to click on the 911 button for it to actually send a message, whatever the message is. I don't quite understand how this 911 thing is supposed to work in principle.

What actually happened? Was that pop-up merely to tell me what _would_ be done if I clicked it?

Once the 911 service acknowledges that they understand this address, this icon will turn green." I asked if _that_ sent a message. Obviously the message says a message was sent. So I've either answered my own question or screwed something up - or both.

Again, NOTHING happened and hovering over it, crossing your cursor over it, clicking on it, or whatever you want to do to it, isn't going to do anything but give you the status of what they show your 911 connection to be.

Read my original response. There was nothing smart-alec about it. I answered it, you apparently didn't like the response, and then decided to make some kind of a distinction between "hover" and "cursor crossed", which is when I turned into a smart-alec.

Since I was the only one who has responded to him, I would assume that was a shot at me.

And poorly formatted response? With no offense to the poster, if anything the question was poorly formatted. Despite your shortened version, his question wasn't "911 and MagicJack?". His only questions were at the end of the original post about what happened when he passed over the 911 button and what was the pop-up trying to tell him.

How YOU got "911 and MagicJack?" out of his original post remains a mystery to me. But if you received some hostile replies in the past, that could explain it.
