I didnt see any comments, maybe I need to be a registered user for that.
BUT this does not bode well for MJ or it's users as I am sure that termination fees are a BIG part of MJ revenue stream, hey those pennies add up!
So does this mean more blocking on MJs part or a price increase?? Or, worse yet, bye bye MJ, a la Sunrocket?
I am on an OBi right now with my MJ in a closet, but I had still planned on renewing for year four come Aug. ( to keep my MJ number which I now have forwarded to the OBi) I wonder now if I should!!
Thanks for the great article!!

Rambling is an understatement. My goodness, sounds like he should have taken his Ritalin before he attempted to write his comment.crackerjack wrote:http://blogs.forbes.com/ericsavitz/2011 ... -from-att/?

My personal opinion, and you more than anyone knows what that is worthbitstopjoe wrote: I am on an OBi right now with my MJ in a closet, but I had still planned on renewing for year four come Aug. ( to keep my MJ number which I now have forwarded to the OBi) I wonder now if I should!!

Probaby true as you can't beat $20 a year even if it is only to keep my MJ# and if free GV goes away it takes me less than 5 min to go back to my MJ.. Unless, as you said, something happens to MJ between now and Aug.nailgunner wrote:My personal opinion, and you more than anyone knows what that is worthbitstopjoe wrote: I am on an OBi right now with my MJ in a closet, but I had still planned on renewing for year four come Aug. If you are strictly looking as MJ as only a backup, I don't know where you will be able to replicate that for your $20 renewal. Of course a crap load can happen between now and August.

Dan's " rambling response" was more than justified and a lot of what he said makes sense.
No matter how bad some of his business practices might be he is an angel compared to AT&Tea.
However, there are some valid concerns about the long term profitabilty of MJ unless they manage to straighten out this issue.

I think he sounds more like an 11 year old with ADD, instead of the CEO of a publicly held corporation.cell14 wrote:Dan's " rambling response" was more than justified and a lot of what he said makes sense.

He does, but I do not see as a negative. Inventors and other highly talented people have often a difficult and abrasive personality. Dan was never good in PR. Unlike most of the CEO's of big public corporations whose other talents remain hidden to me.Posted: Thu Apr 14, 2011 2:54 pm Post subject:

I sure do. He needs to dictate whatever he wants to be put out for public consumption and have a secretary with some basic language skills edit it, log in, run spell check and post it for him.cell14 wrote:but I do not see as a negative.Posted: Thu Apr 14, 2011 2:54 pm Post subject:

Something posted like that from him, in his name, is not much different than a press release. And you would never see a press release look like that. This isn't amateur hour he is involved in anymore, or is it.
I guess if he wants it to look like he can't put two thoughts together without making himself look silly, it is his privilege. I will however sleep better than some knowing that I don't own any stock in his company.
One of the privileges of being wealthy is to do silly things unpunished. And he IS wealthy, which means that he must do something right.I guess if he wants it to look like he can't put two thoughts together without making himself look silly, it is his privilege. I would not buy his company stock either. The price of the dongle is about how far I want to go in financial participation...

There is a difference in being wealthy and doing something silly in your personal life, like buying a soccer team, and doing something silly as the CEO of a publicly held company. Especially when said company AND CEO are getting/have a bad reputation for silly behavior.cell14 wrote: One of the privileges of being wealthy is to do silly things unpunished. There is also a difference between looking silly when someone like Donald Trump does it, on occasion, because he doesn't run a publicly help company. Dan has a much higher fiduciary responsibility because of the fact that there are little old ladies in Arizona and Florida who own his stock, not just Dans family and friends.
Who said anything about him needing to be punished? I was just commenting about your conclusion that him acting like an 11 year old with ADD was not negative. Do you honestly think that anyone who read his response thought "gee I'm going to run out and buy his product or invest in his company"?
And being wealthy only means he might have done something right ONCE. He apparently fits into the saying "even a blind squirrel finds an occasional nut." If MagicJack Plus ever comes out, other than being offered to blog writers, and is a success, he will have found his second nut. And I hope he does.
