I've often been cut off at 90 minutes, and talked 80+ minutes on 6/8/2011, but today 6/23/2011, MJ cut me off after exactly 60 minutes. I'm in San Diego, just updated to 2.0.8.
Anyone else seeing this? Can the timeout be extended?

The TOS are open ended as to what limit they will impose, per section 3b under outgoing calls:mmagic wrote: Can the timeout be extended?
"Calls of long duration may be terminated to make sure the integrity of the network is kept intact, which would prevent abandoned calls."
They make no mention of a time duration. Some of the long-time users have reported that for one period, around a Christmas I believe, it was down to 30 minutes.

This morning (June 24, 2011) I spoke on the phone with my elderly mother for 82 minutes. She wakes at the butt-crack of dawn. I do not know if my region has yet to be affected or what . . . but the 90 minutes is not that bad. I will try for another 90 minute call later today. Going back to 60 minutes will not be cool but, oh well. I can always call back.
Sincerely,

Haha! I was speaking about my mother. Whenever anyone says did you hang up on me? I say yeah . . . I got tired of speaking to you for an hour and a half and hung up and called right back!mmagic wrote:How did you know I was talking to my mom?

Seriously though, I had a 72 minute phone call today . . . so I can only guess they have kept the 90 minute cut-off time in my area. For now at least.
