NEW Magic Jack Review (pics!)
With full on pictures of the packaging...how did PC Magazine approve this product when they haven't done a review on it? Hmmm maybe they'll release a review soon?
This gives more hope that it will happen...and soon.

Now, if only I can get a definite answer on porting my at&t landline to magic jack plus, that would be a god send to be able to keep my old number.

Is that false advertising? Isn't Alaska part of the USA. It says free calling anywhere in US&Canadactbear wrote:Interesting...my local fry's currently has a sale going on for the magic jack: bottom left corner.

It depends on your definition of "anywhere". You can call Alaska now. A few weeks ago I did some more test calls and one went through to some Alaska state department of something in the 907 area code. 2 subsequent ones didn't, so obviously it's not fixed, but something is going on.VaHam wrote:

I just tested a few more and got through on one, 907-465-3500. The recording said it was the Governor's office, oops. The Google listing said it was the "Alaska State Commission for Human Rights"

My personal opinion is that it's almost 100% likely that you will be able to transfer your current MJ number to the Plus. But since a year of service comes with the Plus, I think it's highly unlikely they will carryover any unused time from your old account to the Plus.TransferCutter wrote:if we can transfer our current account and credit over to a new MJ+, then yes, I'll buy 1
