And this has exactly what to do with magicJack Plus?

The only thing interesting about it is that the latest tax appraisal is almost exactly what he paid for it back in 2004. With Florida real estate being so bad, if he can sell it for that he may have lucked out.

Exactly.

If I was him the only thing I would have done differently is I would have retired after the company went public. I certainly wouldn't be in an office wondering how well the Plus was going to sell. I would be deep sea fishing in the Atlantic on M,W & F. Relaxing in my indoor pool with the pool ladies on Tu, Th & Sa. I would take Sunday off to recover and call my kids to give them an update on how fast their inheritance was slipping away. And I wouldn't have bought a soccer team.

If I read that correctly. He bought it in 2004 before Magic Jack ever hit the market. Did you notice how the market value has dropped for over 12m to under 9m and at the same time in the last three years his property taxes have gone up over 10 grand. OUCH!

Yeah, it is a bit creapy ; that's why I did not post that when I mentioned( half jokingly) this subject about a year ago.
But it is indeed a public record. I have professionally a little bit to do with those things so it takes me less than 10 seconds to find it.
BTW the actual market value is a bit higher than the market value for tax purposes.
Dan is lucky that his property ( like most oceanfront prtoperties) did not go down as hard as much of the So FL real estate. Where live we are back at 2001 values , so corrected for inflation it is cheaper than in decades.

He was filthy reach before MJ. And now, his greed has no limit. They are starting to charge for call forwarding. Check it out. $ 4.95 a year for 100 min a month or $ 19.95 a year for 500 min a month. Does he reeeaaaly need SOOOO much money? He said in a video interview that each number cost him $ 0.60 a year!!! that he was almost ashamed to get so mcuh money per jack. SHAME ON YOU DANIEL
