401 error, nothing working

Post by jwiffle »

I did search.

Can't roll back network driver as someone suggested. Besides, it was working before with same driver, as it's a new computer and the driver has not apparently updated. (I clicked update, and it says it is already up to datte).

Can't access magicjack.com to see about downloading an upgrade. magicjack.com won't load.

So I also cannot connect with magicjack's tech chat. Although there was another MJ site -justask.com or something, but said I would pay $38 if they got it to work. No, I'm not paying as much as i paid for the thing for 5 years of service.

Date and time are correct.

So, what is deal. Why does their website not work, and my device no longer function?

Is MJ service down?

401 error

Post by welman26 »

did all of what the previous writer said. i had it back working for a day or two but went right back to being useless. i can not go through any more of this .... twice now i have been shuffled over to the pay support site. the only thing different between his expeirience and mine is that the Just Answer people have now raised the charge to $44 and they have a pleading page asking me to stay and let them earn their $44 .... apparently i need a technician to reset my settings. please have someone tell me how i can get into MJ tech support --- not some $50 an answer site. AGAIN: I CANNOT USE MY MJ and i have two of them. an email i got said my account was inactive until i went to this website. as you can see i am still trying to fix it on my own......

i have trumpeted tons of people telling them how great MJ was but it seems all their efforts are now going towars their MJ Plus. perhaps they are wanting all of us to upgrade to the new type. i need the device to work as i use it to fax as well as talk,

So no one has any ideas? I've tried uninstalling the program and reinstalling, all to no avail.

Anyone? Anyone? I finally got a hold of someone at magicjack - but the only phone number I could find was for billing, so they were of no help. She said everything looked fine from her end and I should be able to access magicjack's site to go to the chat support. Except that it's not fine on my end. Magicjack.com will not load.

How do I make this thing work?

I emailed realtek and they sent me a link to update the network adapter driver. That did the trick!

Don't know why when I went to the driver properties and hit update driver it thought it was up to date if there was actually an update out.
