No local service

Well i received my plus today but unfortunately i found after everything was set up,that there is no local service.So with my land line in one hand and my MJ phone in the other,calling from my land line is a long distance call.This sounds crazy to me.In the city list for my area code,only 1 city is listed and calls to that town are long distance,so there is my problem.So looks like i have to return it.
Is there a list somewhere that shows when an area might become available?

If you port your local land line number to magicjack then you will have a local number. cost $19.95 + tax.

You could get a line 2 number from your local phone provider than port that number over to magicjack.

Thanks,I did try this but it just tells me my number is not available to port.Really to bad,because I really wanted to use this.
