Can't use wireless mouse and Magicjack Plus

Post by vybe121 »

I am a new user of magicjack pllus. I have not had any problems with call quality but for some reason anytime magicjack is plugged into an outlet and my wireless router my wireless mouse stops communicating with the receiver, The wireless keyboard continues to work with no problem. Its just the mouse. This presents a problem for me because I have given up cable in favor of a home media center that is completely run through my pc. So you see having a wired mouse is not an option unless I want to get up and walk to the tv every time I want to watch something or look up a website. Help! I love magic jack but I need for it to coexist with my wireless mouse.

Also I did see someones post that was having a problem with interference from a wireless mouse. He said he purchased a 4 port hub and the problem was fixed. I plan on trying this but I dont know if it will work since his problem was call quality and not connection.

Btw I'm using a HP wireless keyboard and mouse. I dont know if that makes a difference or not.

Not sure if this is the answer....but....
Is it perhaps your cordless phone is running in the smae frequency range as your mouse? Many cordless phones have a frequency/channel selection button that will change to another frequency. I think the 2.4 GHz devices sometimes fight each other. I bought 5 GHz phones at my house to avoid the wireless network issues.
