Nettalk has the name feature,

Tell you what.. When you invent your own VOIP dongle, call it enf1945jack, you can add caller ID name and number. With MJ it has and always will, come down to the bottom dollar. Look at all the numbers they block including the whole state of Alaska. $$$$$$$$$$$

Please let us know when your VOIP dongle is available :)

Most phones have a directory option in them now. I added every name associated with all the numbers that call me on a regular basis. That's the only way to get the name to show up in the stand alone mode. Of course if someone calls you that's not in your directory then you'll just get the number. Works the same as a cell phone would.

Damn, only days?? And here I was shooting for weeks of laughing :)

Hey if one cant have fun in a forum what's the point right :)

It's easy to be a back seat driver when it's not your own company, which is the point I was trying to make, albeit with sarcasm...
That is why competition is great. Don't like one company? Fire them and move on to another or if possible start your own with your own capital.

Hmmm... I wonder how much powerball jackpots it would take to build up my own high speed internet network since I would like to fire AT&Tea and ConCast, the only two monopolists we have here with all the free choices....

Maybe we can go back to string and paper cups. Although that had it's own problems. 8)

Only if the cups are paper and you want to make a call while you are outside and it is raining...
You can also forget about long distance!!! The cost of the string negates the cost savings!!!!!
