Magicjack Plus - Retaining current Magicjack Phone Number

Post by peterna »

Is there any charge for retaining my existing MJ phone number? Is this done when new MJ Plus is first registered?

No there are no extra charges to keep your existing MJ phone# and use it with MJ+. When registering, you simply register the device to your current MJ phone.

Magicjack Plus - Retaining current Magicjack Phone Number

Post by peterna »

Hello, Paul777-

Thanks for reply, just wanted to make sure the ad was correct!

Please note that, later on, I ran into trouble getting Plus up and running without connection to my iMac. Would sure appreciate your response.

Am trying to maintain News Year's Marital Bliss Level with an, as yet, not convinced magicjack lover

Regards, Peter

You must set up MJ+ first when connected to a computer. Once registration is done, then you can run it independantly.

Are you still have trouble after set up with computer ?

Is there any charge for retaining my existing MJ phone numbe

Paul777-

Well now, after everything has been working fine for 2 days, I am inclined to "come clean". :(

I originally assembled the Plus items furnished and an Ethernet cable.

Then I registered my Plus via my iMac and transferred my existing MJ phone number.

What I didn't notice was that I had left the Ethernet cable on the devise

So, when I replaced the adapter and plugged the Plus into 120v, the phone didn't work well!

Without telling anyone, I powered down the phone for a couple of minutes and restarted it.

Then, everything worked fine and still does.

I am thinking of returning my Engineering Degree to the U of M.

Sorry for wasting your time and thanks for your interest!

Peter
