Very distorted audio on incoming calls only - intermittant

About 50% of my incoming calls have extremely distorted sound on my side only. They can hear me fine. I call them back and everything is OK. This has been going on every since I signed up a couple of months ago. My MJ+ setup is stand alone on a cable modem with plenty of bandwidth. I don't think it can be a hardware or software problem on my end due to the nature of the symptoms. I can't believe more people aren't experiencing the same type problem. Does anyone have any ideas?
