Why does MagicTalk.com redirect to MagicJack.com ?

Post by nestman »

Did Dan pull the plug on the software based MagicTalk? I use it every day on my computer and love it. It does not require ANY hardware to use. But if the website is now gone, does that mean the service will be going away soon?

Does anyone know anything about this?

Thanks!

He didn't pull the plug entirely. I still have a subscription until October. I want the damn thing off my computer and my account. Last I checked a few weeks ago I was told, "that isn't possible".

It's called the magicJack App now. If anyone wants mine and can figure out how to transfer it, I'll pay them. Not a lot of course. 8)

Does anyone know why it's going away? It's great having a laptop to place calls and not needing to have a dongle or phone cords.

I don't think it's been settled that it is going away. As with all things MJ, answers are hard to come by. It's possible that they are tinkering with it, or dropping it. But the fact that it directs you to magicJack.com instead of magicTalk.com means nothing. It's been doing that, on my end anyways, for a while. It was doing that before they let me re-activate my deleted last October, to my before mentioned now-annoyance.
