magicjack plus problem

can't call a landline in Neb. or S.Dak what is wrong?

You are possibly calling some of the expensive rural exchanges MJ does not serve.

I have tried several different exchanges and I do not have long distance calling as is advertised. What is wrong?

I currently have magicjack plus and had a lot of the same issues not being able to call out of state, especially landlines. Cell phones worked great, but landlines were a problem hearing the person on the other end. The problem may be within your router, or computer firewall. Fix for Ethernet connected MJ+ on a D-Link router.

If your using the regular magicjack on a computer you may want to disable your computers firewall, or if your using wifi you may want to follow the instruction at the end of the above link and go into your routers firewall and uncheck the SIP link. This worked for me, hope it helps you.
