Cant Do anything With Magic Jack

Post by jagadeesh »

Hi All,

Help me out with this issue.

I am using a magic Jack from past one year and suddenly my magic Jack shuts down and it is not Responding. I restarted my System and this time Magic Jack window is not popping out. When i tried to activate the magic Jack with the help of the Desktop Icon magic Jack is not recognized and it is displaying a white page." No Magic Jack Click here to Register".

I have the subscription till June-2012.

Please help me out in this issue As soon as possible.

@ jagadeesh,

You may try these steps:

Please go to "My Computer". From the menu bar go to "Tools" and select "Folder Options". In there click on the "View" tab and make sure the option "Show hidden files and folders" is checked then click "OK".
=====
Please press the "Windows" button on your keyboard (the one between CTRL and ALT) then press "R" and type "Application Data" then press the "Enter".
=====
Double click on the folder called "mjusbsp". In there double click on the folder called "ug00000" and then double click on the icon called "setup".
=====

If that doesn't work, try this;

Open task manager (control+alt+delete) and click the tab named Processes. Locate and end the following processes: UTSCSI,NEWNET_SETUP, magicJack, and magicJackLOADER. If one or several of these are not listed, do not worry. Now unplug your magicJack, wait for 15 seconds and plug it back in.

OR

Please go to "My Computer" and look for the 2 magicJack drives. Right click on those drives and look for the "Format" option and click it then set the File System to "FAT" and volume label as "PHONE". Unplug magicJack, wait for 15 seconds and plug magicJack back in.

Then run the upgrade: http://upgrades.magicJack.com/upgrade/upgrade.exe

Hope they'll work...

If the MJ of your friend is working with your system just fine but yours is not, I could say that there's something problem with your device. The best thing you can do is to visit the chat line at www.magicJack.com/techchat and ask a replacement device from them to see if that resolves the problem.
