MJ problems
I signed up with Magic Jack about a week ago. The porting went very smoothly from AT&T. During the week, we have had a lot of problems with quality. While talking to a family member for about an hour and a half, the call dropped five times, the line was not clear, there was a very loud tone that sounded in my mom's ear (she's on lan line), and after 90 minutes the call dropped and I was not able to call her back. I'm looking for a job, and someone called to do a phone interview, and I could not hear her voice. I asked her to call back and again there was a lot of static and I could not hear her well. I'm in IT, so I know it is set up right. So I went out and purchased an OOMA box tonight. I set up that device and set a call forward in Magic Jack to my new OOMA number, but I get a "no route" error. I'm having to forward to my cell phone until the old home number gets ported from MJ to OOMA. I just hope that goes smoothly. While looking for a job, you can't afford to miss even one call or have the call go rough, and that's what is happening. I can't begin to say how frustrated I am with MJ.
