I have had mj about 2 months and have had nothing but problems
Drops incoming and outgoing calls. I have had my last(CHAT) and my last dropped call.
Probably will get stuck by them again to port my number.Cost me $20 to port my number to mj. One message i came across said they charge $30. to get your number back. What a crock that is. its my number But it will be worth it to get rid of this piece of crap
They have to release your number for free, although they will try to extort some money from you. Just ignore it and port it out. However, your new provider may charge you for porting, lot of them do on VOIP side.

The problem is i can not complete a call that last for more than 5 minutes,inbound or outbound in the plug or my computer. I think i have a defective unit and when i say this they refuse to discuss this and change the subject
Every chat with them they have me add info to my router to no avail.And yes it is a new router. Each chat is with at least two people and they have me do the same thing over and over. Example My Doctor called and we were disconnected 3 times in a 7 min conversation he finally told me to come in to talk to him. So how can you help please?

I am going back to vonage,they do not charge to port my number back. Had vonage for over 12 years and not one problem. Just trying to lower my cost with majicjack.

In order to transfer a number on your magicJack to a new provider, eligible requests should be initiated by your new service provider, who will coordinate the transfer.

Sure. I ported one of my two MJ numbers out a few months ago. I did not pay anything. They are not allowed to charge you a fee for porting out. Which does not mean that they will not try to ( and they did). Especially due to their increasingly crooked way of doing business.
I will do the next port out in April. If they block the port,they will get a serious FCC complaint.

Exactly. With this way of doing business Dan would have to offer something really unique in order to keep me as a customer. Unfortunately, he does not ( any more).
Even sadder is the attitude of the Better Business Bureau and their cosy relationship with Dan The BBB ratings became just about as worthless and misleading as those of Yelp. As long as the BBB gets the membership fee, the business gets away with close to everything.
