When dialing out for certain numbers, my call never rings

I can call out and receive calls, both locally and out of state, but when I try calling either my parents in New Jersey, my call never rings. The same goes for my sister's number in New Jersey. Calls to other states (CA and GA) are fine.

I placed a call to MJ+ service and they told me it was their problem, but that was 2 weeks ago. The only calls I make (and the reason I got MJ+) was to be able to call my Dad and Mom.

Any thoughts on what I can try to fix this situation?

I should add that calling my Dad worked when I first installed MJ+. We do tend to talk for awhile 30-45 min, so I am wondering if usage has anything to do with it. Has anyone else seen or heard of selective calls no longer ringing?

It is possible your dad and sister numbers are one of the many MJ has decided to block. If they are in a rural area MJ deems their Telco termination fee is to high and they will not allow the call to go through. That being said, it seems some numbers one has connected to in the past may not work now AND visa versa. The only work around is to get a free Google voice number and have it associated to your MJ number....

Sometimes this happen to me also. I think the line is busy. The person i am calling does not have voice mail and rather than a busy signal I get a dial tone.

...but my Mom & Dad live in a place where my call gets automatically picked up, and then I enter the room number. Plus I can call them using my cell and it gos through fine. Using my cell defeats the purpose of MJ+ in the first place. If I can't find a solution I guess my only option is to cancel MJ and find another solution.

I am having that exact same problem with my MJ+. I have been able to call my mom's phone with my MJ+ ever since I purchased it 6 months ago. Beginning yesterday (12 May 2012), everytime I try to dial her number, I get 3 beeps, then nothing. MJ support does not know what is causing the problem. I can call the number with my cell ph, and the call goes through fine. My mom can call my MJ # and the call comes through to me. But I cannot call her if I use my MJ.

I wanted to try to uninstall the MJ software, then reinstall, but I can't find the app on my computer (I have a MacBook).

Any advice would be much appreciated!!!!!
