magic jack

i connected the maigic jack to my pc and the app loaded and everything worked well, i was forced to connect the magic directly into the wireless router. Config pc running windows 7, cablevison modem, ASUS wifi modem.
Everything works fine. Except the pc magic app does not work in this configuration, is there any way to configure the pc or router to make the app work?

Just a bit of searching will lead to help with
port forwarding. If you are completely computer
illiterate send it back.

No. The MJ+ works either way (PC or router), but the MJ softphone only works when the MJ+ is plugged into the PC.

I agree with you kedwards. MJ dial pad is only visible if the device is plugged in to the computer and not to router. Being an illiterate with computer is not a problem because MJ support person are there to help you 24/7. Punch them with your problems and concerns to exercise their jobs.

Tried MJ suport they told me the same , it will only work if connectd to the PC.. Although i was not overly confident in the technical ability of the Indian technican, as they just sem to go by the script.. delete re-load connect to computer.. Ok it only works with pc..

You're correct evgeny9. You can also use a headset/computer speaker with your MJ if you don't have a telephone. Just make sure you toggled properly to the correct device under MENU option on the dial pad.
