Hi,
I have 2 MJ, a US# one & a CDN# one.
My US one is for family to call me & the CDN one is basically for Canada folks & the US# forwards to the CDN#. That works very well - no problems at all.
Where I'm having a slight issue is this - my cell plan includes "10 faves nationwide" - so I added my CDN MJ# as one of my faves.
My hope was that for incoming calls that the MJ would forward to my cell & ring at my cell number.
US MJ -> CDN MJ -> CDN cell number
The problem (one of them that I can see) is that my MJ app in the iPhone rings, even though I've set it (under"Call Features" on the MJ site") to
I elect to accept outgoing service only where it's listed for the iPhone AND the device. (I don't have the app running on my computer)
The other thing I'm unsure of is that Telus will see the incoming call as coming from my CDN MJ and not the originating number.
Does anyone have experience with this or knowledge of this?
Worse comes to worse - it's not the end of the world to use just the app - it works quite well.
Thanks in advance.
MJ app, iPhone, forwarding, et al...

I have figured it out, I turned off all notifications for the MJ app & then I don't get the double ringing, etc
When I go to make an outbound call using the MJ it tells me that I can't receive calls because notifications are turned off - and that's fine with me.
I guess the question wondering if Telus will count forwarded calls as coming from one of my faves remains to be seen.
Just in case anyone else is wondering the same thing - that's what I did & it works.

Well - I guess I do NOT have it figured out
If I dial the CDN MJ# it goes to my cell phone - no problem (as I described above with turning ALL notifications off)
However, if I call my US# - it just automatically forwards to my CDN# VM.
If I turn off VM it just rings & rings & rings...
I guess the only solution at this point is to change the number associated with the app to my US# & keep my CDN# forwarded to my cell #.
I have my settings as follows...
Under
Home / Call Features / Advanced Features
Both devices - I elect to accept outgoing and incoming service
On the app devices listing (iPhone & iPod though I don't have the iPod anymore) - same setting
Under
Home / Call Features / Call Forwarding
US# -> CDN#
CDN# -> cell #
Under mobile devices - both are set to the CDN# & forwarding for both is to my cell #
I have VM turned OFF on my US#, but because it forwards to my CDN# my CDN# VM picks up right away without forwarding to my cell..
Can anyone at all see a way I can do this? I LOATH the idea of contacting "support"
Thanks in advance
