This is a strange issue. Finally got our old phone number ported to MJ and outgoing calls work great. However, when some people call (mainly from cell phones in our local area), we cannot hear them.
Here's the kick. When we take the PC off of the router we have and go straight from the DSL modem to the PC, it works. No problem regardless of who's calling.
I've tried using DD-WRT, changing my router to a Netgear, forwarding ports, DMZing the MagicJack, setting up a QOS, and nothing but having a direct connection to the PC from the modem works.
Does anyone else have this problem? It's really frustrating and MJ support is useless.
Can't hear caller on incoming calls when using PC w/ router

I suspect you are in good company on this board. Many others seem to be dealing with the same issues.
Whatever the problem, if your modem allows it through but your router doesn't, it's definitely a problem with your intranet and not the internet. If you've tried port forwarding, etc., is it possible you've got some wonky firewall setting on your router that's stopping incoming calls?
More likely... have you tried updating to the latest version of the firmware? That solved the a similar problem we were having where local landlines were scratchy-sounding and sometimes couldn't reach us. We had to constantly call other people back to get a good connection. Updating the firmware made all the difference.

Although such problems can very well in many if not most cases be router-related, just because you can engage in a proper two-way call when your pc is connected directly to your *modem*'s Ethernet port, that does NOT mean that MagicJack's servers etc. are "definitely" not at fault. If you know that your equipment is all in proper working order, be SURE to notify MJ "live help" of your persisting difficulties. The problem is most likely to lay within MJ's network (somewhere) if your MJ was working entirely properly then all of a sudden it isn't and you've made no changes to you OS settings, firewall settings, or router settings. But do be sure to FIRST go online into your MJ account's settings and check EACH AND EVERY ONE to make sure that they are all as you want and need them to be.
