How do I disable the annoying constant BEEP of a 2nd call

Post by Oliviasdad123 »

So we noticed that when a second call comes in while we're on the phone, it beeps constantly and we can't figure out how to either stop it, or send that 2nd call directly to voicemail.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The only way to stop the call waiting beep is to plug your magicJack into the USB port of your computer and turn off call waiting with the Magicfeatures Plugin.

Two other options (as you sound like someone not very used to Call waiting):

a) When you hear the beeping while you're already on a call, just let the person you're talking to know that you're receiving another call and to please not hang up while you tell the 2nd caller that you'll call them back later; then press your phone's "Flash" button ONCE - you'll now be connected to the second caller, just tell them you're already on a call and will call them back; then press the "Flash" button once more to resume your original conversation. This is really the best thing to do.

b) Your phone should ring, or if you're on a call the Call Waiting beep should beep, around 6 times (24-30 seconds) before the unanswered call is sent to voicemail. If you'd like to shorten up the length of time it takes for an unanswered call to be sent to voicemail, log into your online MagicJack account and adjust your voicemail settings accordingly.
