Good day. I had a number associated with m magic jack and now it is gone. Ppl can no longer call me on it
Um I'm sorry that I wasn't clear but it wasn't out of malice though. I put up a second post to clarify further what I initially said. I wasn't angry, nor should you be.
Now ....if someone who knows about the iPhone Magic Jack app, is anyone else having a problem with incoming calls? I am able to call out but when ppl call in, they get a "we r working on improving Magic Jack" message.
Hope that someone can shed light on this for me.

In order to receive calls on your MJ app EITHER:
a) (for free) Your callers need to first call a special MJ access number (last I knew it's not a toll-free number) and then from there call your free MJ number; OR
b) 1. If you already have a paid MJ subscription, you can "link" the app to that paid-for number at no additional charge, OR 2. You can pay for MJ app-only service, which will provide the app with a "real" direct local phone number of its own (last I knew this was $10/year).

cant receive any inbound calls on my magic jack plus, any ideas why??

Starting on December 13, 2012, our MJ Plus stopped working. No outgoing calls and incoming calls will not ring but straight to voicemail. After tinkering with it a little bit, I think I know the solution to the problem. It needs an update?!igore wrote:cant receive any inbound calls on my magic jack plus, any ideas why??
While troubleshooting, I plugged MJ Plus directly to my laptop and was able to send and receive calls just fine. While it was connected to the computer, a window popped up saying it was updating the software. I have not used the MJ app on the laptop in many months so I didn't know if it updated the laptop app or updated something on the little MJ Plus USB box.
Anyway, I plugged it back into the router and the little USB power supply and IT WORKED!!
So if your MJ Plus stopped working recently, try it on your laptop and see if it does an update and then try it back in stand-alone mode.
