Plugging magicJack plus into Ethernet switch
Hi, I currently have the standard magicJack. I am looking to buy the new magicJack Plus. The only problem is I do not have an open port on my router. However, I do have an Ethernet switch connected to the router. My question is can I plug the magicJack Plus into the switch instead of directly to the router? Will this work flawlessly or not? Thanks.
A few other things. is this 1/2 off sale price of 34.95 plus $7.95 and surcharge of 4.8% = $44.96 a good deal or not? I like to be sure of something before I buy things that look too good to be true. I have one problem in that my current landline is also plugged into my directv receivers to be able to get pay per view movies and such. I am guessing I will not be able to do this if i cancel my landline and go with the magicJack Plus. Someone correct me if I am wrong. Thanks.
