Stuck in registration loop

Post by thissux »

Hi, hope someone can help me. I can't seem to find this exact same issue in the threads. Here's the process: I insert MJ Plus into computer -> install software -> registration window opens over the on screen dial pad -> I fill out all screens without error, pick a number, select "With Computer" on the last screen because I want to use fax and the modem is in another room -> starts at square one again with first screen registration question. No error messages or hiccups. I talked with MJ chat support and have tried another USB port, even tried uninstall -> reboot -> new usb port -> start over with the same results. They escalated the issue and the next person just asked me a couple questions and then said they'd review my account and get back to me via email. No word and no further attempts have worked. What do I do? I'm past my 30-day trial period, unfortunately. Thanks in advance : )

Try another computer and don't expect an answer from MJ.

I did. Used my laptop and had the same result. Thanks for helping set my expectations with MJ - they are time wasters, but I was tempted to give it a further try. I'm starting to think they set some to malfunction as part of their money making scheme (the problem I am having is not damage to the unit but probable improper programming of the software). Because enough of them do work properly it keeps people buying them. A friend from work has one of these and it has worked well for her for about a year with no problems, so that gave me confidence in the product. I got mine and had problems from the beginning (just placing the order - their website is a trap and intentionally set up to mess you up and confirm orders without your consent).

I still hope someone has an answer for me out there. Otherwise, I will cut my losses and if I try MJ again it will be in a year and under a different name and account.
