Ok guys, I have done a lot of reading and still can not figure out this problem.
Here's my problem:
Whether I'm making a call or receiving a call the chances of it going through is about 50/50. Example: my phone will ring but when I answer it I can not hear the other person and they can not hear me. Example: I try to call my voicemail and I get nothing but silence. These problems only happen about 50% percent of the time. The other 50% the call goes through successfully.
Ok a little background:
My MJ is an old unit. About 5-7 years old. I've been using it without too many problems for a while now. It has been the last year or so that I have been experiencing this problem. I am using my MJ plugged into a usb port on my pc. I am using it with a telephone.
Things I have done to try to fix the problem:
So, I've spent a lot of time with live chat "support". I have done the unplug and replug into a different port thing. I have done the uninstall reinstall with the official MJ uninstaller. I have used programs like magicjacksetup.exe, mjrecover_setup.exe, mjRemover.exe, and upgrade.exe. (when I run the program mjrecover_setup.exe it tells me "no device found") I have flashed the MJ device and reinstalled the drivers. I have gave the MJ service a high priority in the task manager. I have set MJ as a service. I have portforward ports 5060-5070.
Things I still need to try to do:
1) A long time ago, I set up a HP thinclient to specifically run just my MJ. It was an very old machine running WinXP. About 2-3 years ago I switched and plugged MJ into my new, faster, Windows 7 machine. I may just have to dig my old thinclient out and plug MJ back into it. See what happens.
2) Since my MJ is old (5-7 years) I am thinking about upgrading to a new MJ+. I am not sure if this will solve my problem or not.
I know this sounds like a problem that has been answered in the forum many times. I have read a lot of post addressing "can't hear anything" issue. My problem seems a little unique to me. How many other people have problems accessing their voicemail (getting no sound) and having problems hearing people calling?
Thanks for reading my problem and for any feedback.

Other things you've already probably tried:
1. In the mJ website user interface --> "Call Features" tab --> "Voicemail On/Off/Delay" page, you've turned your delay for the offending device to at least "30 seconds" or "1 minute".
2. Raise mic and speaker volume for both phone and speaker/headset.
3. Thin-client again. If it still works correctly with the thin client, perhaps there is something weird going on with your Win7 system--maybe a firewall issue?
