Technically, no. Your magicJack is now a papeweight. You might be able to sell it to someone who wants to use it with GVJack. If you can afford a one-time charge of $20, you could get GVJack to use with your computer and your old magicJack device. You'll need to get a new phone number form Google Voice, but that's free for right now. You'll only be able to use your magicJack hardward with GVJack, and only when it's connected to your computer via USB. It's a fairly inexpensive option, but might be worth it if you have access to internet and have a windows computer with a USB port.

If you can't do any of that then you'll need to go with just the browser interface through Google Voice as cell14 suggests. You will not be using the magicJack device at all in this case, but again you could sell it on Craigs list.

Good luck.

To use Google Voice on your old MJ or MJ+ dongle, there is also a standard version of the GVJack App available for $12.95 .
