Am using a replacement Magicjack Plus. The replacement process created a second account. Both accounts are listed and wanting renewal. I don't want to pay for 2 accounts on just one Magicjack Plus. The whole message I am getting looks like this:
"PLEASE NOTE: Your Device Subscription for "MJ COMPUTER" is EXPIRING SOON, on 12/22/2013. Renew Subscription Now

PLEASE NOTE: Your Phone Number Subscription associated with the number (253) 383-**** is EXPIRING SOON, on 12/28/2013. Renew Number Subscription Now

Re: Replacement Magicjack Plus--must renew 2 accounts?
Assuming your old device (now bricked) is "MJ COMPUTER" and the new device is "MJ COMPUTER 2" (properly functioning), this is how I would approach it:sethfp wrote:Am using a replacement Magicjack Plus. Click the "Phone Numbers" tab.
For the old device, select the assigned magicNumber instead of a phone number. You're not using it anyway, so it's okay to do this.
Leave the preferred phone number (253) 383-**** assigned to the new device.
Pull down from the "Account" tab to "AutoRenew".
Make sure AutoRenew is toggled "Off" for the old device.
Toggle AutoRenew "On" for the new device.
This should make sure you keep your preferred phone number, plus make sure your old device does not renew.
Of course I don't work for magicJack, but this seems like the most appropriate course of action to insure that your transition continues smoothly.
I too had to create a second account when I first bought my magicJack 2012 because the first one was broken in the packaging. This is how I approached it then. After the old device lapsed, it was gone from my device list.
