Xfinity Voice and MagicJack

Good Afternoon,

Before I install MagicJack on my network, I'd like to see if I can get a couple of questions answered.

1. I currently have Xfinity Voice which is our home phone #
2. I plan to port it to MagicJack.

Question:

Can I install MagicJack having made the port request and while leaving Xfinity Voice in place until the port is complete.

When it completes, I will be replacing the modem and router with my own equipment and keeping only Xfinity internet access.

Really, I'm just trying to make sure there won't be issues and determine the best sequence.

Yes. Set up your MJ, get a MJ number temporarily, and submit your port request.
