How to remote shutdown thin client through teamviewer?

Post by fuguansun »

I am in team viewer and only thing I see is log off and disconnect.

I wonder how do I remotely shutdown thin client if I need.

Thanks in advance.

On my teamviewer setup there's an "Actions" tab at top center. If you click on Ctrl-Alt-Del one of th choices is shutdown. It works for me.

Very weird, I tested to restart my thin client remotely, it works.

Now after the thin client restart, the action tab, the ctrl+alt+delete button is grayed out again.

Any thoughts on it?

You might check TeamView options on the thin client, particularly Access Control Incoming - located on the Security tab. I grant full access and have never had this problem.

Can anybody provide a steps to install teamviwer ? I wonder if those options I choose during installation makes difference.

I also tried to remote connect to the TC through remote desktop connection, which works great. However at the shutdown, there is also no option for shutdown.

ANybody know how to shutdown /restart a remote session through remote desktop connection?

Thanks

If I remember correctly, can't you invoke Ctrl+Alt+Delete through teamviewer and then use the resulting window to shut down the TC. Kevin N.

No you can't do Ctrl+Alt+Delete but you can always go to Start+Run+taskmgr and that works everytime.

Taskmanager in XPe doesn't have the Shutdown menu bar option. At least mine doesn't. I don't have teamviewer installed anymore but I'm almost positive that I was able to invoke Ctrl+Alt+Del from within teamviewer 4.

You are right about taskmgr within XPe. I have Teamviewer 4 and cannot get Ctrl+Alt+Delete to work. I can reboot under Actions

This is very strange I have 3 T5710's all running Teamviewer 4 and all of them have all shutdown options available. Perhaps a policy setting in your installs?

Take a look at the following. http://windowsxp.mvps.org/noclose.htm
