Register MJ outside of US

Hello all,
I have had a MagicJack in Venezuela for several years. It stopped working so I bought a new one in the US and brought it with me. I now know that I should have registered it while I was in the US. I have tried to register it here with and without a VPN and by plugging it into the routter and directly into a USB port on both my MAC and an old PC (system 7). If I plug it into an outlet I get a dial tone but , when I try to call, I get a message that it isn't registered. Is there any way to register it from outside the US? Thanks

I have never heard of this problem before. Try registering it on a friends computer that is hopefully connected to the internet with a different internet service provider.
