Once again, my sincere thanks to mastdesi for the prompt reply. Can you please guide me the steps for changing mjproxy on my computer and how to run it with the port 5070 open?

Sorry, I am very new to all this. Thanks a ton!

can anyone shed some light on this?

My MagicJack just stopped working yesterday all of the sudden.

I have not had any issues with it since January of 2010 until yesterday morning. The first step I did was I retrieved the password (It was different) and then I updated it on my dd-wrt router and PAP2t as well. It is still showing Registration State: Can't connect to login server. is there anything else I need to do beside changing
sleep 30
/jffs/mjp/bin/mjproxy 0.0.0.0 5070 proxy01.detroit.talk4free.com 5070 (NEW MJ password here) in my dd-wrt router and change the new MJ password on my PAP2t under Line 1?

I honestly ran out of options. Thanks in Advance.

Problems with Cannot connect to Server

All,

Thanks to MagicDump for creating the original thread. Without it, I could not have configured my PAP2T with MagicJack. I saw numerous responses of other individuals not being able to login due to connection to the server failure. I did my due diligence - confirmed MJ credentials and port forwarding, etc. I am happy to say, I was able to get MagicJack working on my PAP2T utilizing MJ proxy for DD-WRT. Luckily my router is DD-WRT capable. After flashing the router's firmware with DD-WRT and installing MJ proxy for DD-WRT, my PAP2T is connected, registered and I am now able to make a receive calls.

For the benefit of others with this problem - this is an alternative. I've outlined the high level procedure in an article on my blog to utilize MJ proxy on my DD-WRT broadband router. I suspect the problem was the PAP2T not being able to send, receive or both behind my router. The solution - make the router the MJ proxy.

MJ with ata is dead until a fix is found for getting ata's to register again. Look at whistlephone if you want to use an ata to make and receive free calls.
